Coldplay is a true ‘Guilty Pleasure’, we all like them, buy tickets to their concerts, buy their CDs and even see Gwyneth Paltrow films, just to support the band. However my friends there is an alternative and they are called ‘Doves’. Not The Doves, just ‘Doves’.

Once you have finished learning all of your basic chords and strumming patterns the next logical step will be to try to learn some beginner guitar songs. Many of these easy songs are very famous and as guitar players we are lucky to have such a wide range of songs for beginners to learn. There are probably 100 or more of these kinds of guitar songs to choose from and you should rely on your teacher to help you select the ones most suitable to begin with.

Before learning to play the guitar, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with its various parts to know what the lessons and tutorials are referring to when they use these terms. It also gives you an idea how these parts work together to create the whole.
